entries have been outstanding for this first collaboration of Haiku & Tanka
in our Spring Award competition,
which made the judging of all submitted poems that much more difficult because
of the strength of the overall entries. However, we have three new winners and
also several new names amongst the runners-up. Congratulations to the winners
and runners-up, and my grateful thanks to everyone who entered the competition.
I
hope the first Award [for outstanding
Haiku & Tanka] competition has paved the way for more collaborations of this
nature. In my opinion, I believe that Haiku & Tanka presented sensitively in
tandem can, and do, bring out the very best of both forms.
I look forward
to receiving more of your inspiring work
for the Still 4 Autumn
